New leadership guides The Overlook’s future

After spending nearly a decade away from Excelsior Springs, one local woman returned to her hometown with the intention of doing something to improve the community and surrounding areas. That goal is now reflected in the work of Jenna Groves at The Overlook at Crystal Lakes.An Excelsior Springs High School graduate from the Class of 2003, Groves was gone for eight years before returning to the area. She recently took on the role of venue manager and coordinator at The Overlook at Crystal Lakes, a city-owned venue.Groves noted she has spent years planning events for family and friends, as well as for clubs, school and sports related activities involving her children.
