Piccadilly Gala returns to Excelsior Springs
EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Parks and Recreation Foundation Board thanked everyone that helped raise funds to get the Rainbow Splash Park off the ground.
“We want to thank all of those that attended the past Piccadilly Galas, donated to the effort, helped behind the scenes and cheered on our cause. The community now has a free splash park for the children to enjoy. We recently presented a check to Park and Rec Director Nate Williams for $87,409.32. We leveraged those donations with a state grant, capital improvement dollars, and Park and Rec money to bring the park to life,” foundation information states.
The Piccadilly Gala will return to the city April 2. Gala tickets are still available and can be purchased by calling Williams at 816-630-1040. Tickets cost $60 each or a table of 10 is $600.
“Now that we have successfully raised the funds for the Rainbow Splash Park, we are ready to start fundraising for the next cause,” foundation information states. “That cause is an all-abilities playground in a new park on Milwaukee. Help us create this new park where children and families can have fun in a safe, all-inclusive, and accessible environment.”
