EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – With graduation more than two months away, the Excelsior Springs High School staff celebrated senior awards online with a virtual assembly. The online video, posted May 15 on YouTube, announces scholarship winners, and the Class of 2020’s valedictorian, Morgan Schindler; and salutatorian, Noah Turner. “This isn’t the way we thought we would have to celebrate you and honor your accomplishments. Virtual is the way we have to do it this year,” Principal Christen Everett shared in the video’s introduction. “We are so proud of you and can’t wait to celebrate with you in person on Aug. 1.” High school administration and counselors, and Educational Foundation Director Sarah Baker, collaborated to prepare the virtual awards assembly.
