EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Plans for additional apartment housing in Excelsior Springs are underway. The city approved preliminary and final plats for an expansion of the Lynn Park Apartments, the fivebuilding housing campus at 701 Tiger Drive that is bordered on its east side by U.S. Highway 69. Dubbed Lynn Park II, the 24-apartment complex will be at 703 Tiger Drive, Planning and Zoning Commission meeting minutes stated. After meeting with Kirsten Ulmer, Lynn Park property manager, the Planning and Zoning Commission approved the application for the two plats Oct. 26. The application then went to the City Council, which issued approval Nov. 2 at the Hall of Waters following a request for approval by Community Development Director Melinda Mehaffy. “The property is located along an already developed street,” Mehaffy said. “The water main has adequate flow and pressure to support the development.
