A Springfield man is facing new felony charges after members of the Clay County Sheriff’s Office Strategic Operations Squad (SOS) attempted to serve a Ray County warrant at a Kearney motel.Teddy A. Scobee, 49, now faces Clay County charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance following his arrest at 601 Centerview Drive in Kearney. The warrant being served originated in Ray County, where Scobee faces separate charges related to drug distribution and paraphernalia.Scobee entered a plea of not guilty to the felony charges in Clay County Circuit Court before Seventh Judicial Circuit Court Judge Karen L. Krauser earlier this week. A bond hearing was held the following day, but Kruser made no modifications to the $20,000 bond. As of press time, Scobee is still in the custody of the Clay County Detention Center. He will appear for a public defender determination hearing at 1:30 p.m. on April 29....
