A Rayville woman recently entered a not-guilty plea for numerous felony child abuse charges. Courtney M. Johnson, 34, is facing 17 felony charges including - 14 counts of abuse or neglect of a child; two counts of first-degree endangering the welfare of a child, creating substantial risk; and tampering with a witness in a felony prosecution. Eighth Judicial Circuit Court Judge Kevin L. Walden provided Johnson with a copy of the charge information and accepted her plea of not guilty.
