SAFE discusses weatherization program
Details about weatherization assistance for lowincome residents were recently provided to the Excelsior Springs community.The Low-Income Weatherization Assistance Program provides free, costeffective, energy-efficient home improvements for homeowners and renters, according to Community Action Agency of Greater Kansas City (CAAGKC) Outreach Specialist Julia Powell, who spoke at a recent Substance Abuse Free Environments (SAFE) meeting. Ihe program’s aim is to lower utility bills while ensuring families reside in a healthy and safe environment.
