School leaders share district progress

Excelsior Springs school leaders reviewed financial conditions, attendance trends, strategic planning efforts and buildinglevel progress during this month’s Board of Education meeting, outlining priorities that will guide district operations heading into winter.Superintendent Dr. Mark Bullimore reported district finances remain stable despite lower state formula payments and changes to local property assessments. Recent adjustments in state funding have required careful budgeting, but emphasized the district remains on track. As part of that update, he noted a $5,796 rebate from the MSBA PFM purchasing card program, which provides cash back on district expenses such as fuel and supplies.
