EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Life Line Screening will be in the area to screen residents for cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, diabetes and other chronic, serious conditions. Screenings, some costing $159, will take place April 5 at Flack Memorial Christian Union Church, 1300 Tracy Ave., Excelsior Springs. Screenings can check for issues, such as plaque buildup in arteries, which is a risk factor for cardiovascular disease, a stroke and overall vascular health; HDL and LDL cholesterol levels; diabetes risk; bone density as a risk for possible osteoporosis; and kidney and thyroid function.
