Senior Center discussion focuses on local primary care

The Physician Practices Manager (PPM) at Excelsior Springs Hospital, Troy Grizzle, visited the Senior Center recently to inform the community about options for local health care, specifically for primary care. Grizzle, a U.S. Marnie, Navy and Air Force veteran, came to Excelsior Springs in 2020 to work at the hospital as a PPM. While working in Excelsior Springs, he also works toward promoting the primary care physicians who treat patients within the community. He explained there are three primary care physician locations, one situated inside the hospital, which includes six providers. This includes four doctors and two nurse practitioners who are available from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Each staff member “provides a plethora of services including physicals, immunizations, acute and chronic illness, nutrition and weight loss care, pediatric, adolescent, geriatric care, women’s services, telemedicine visits, lab, X-ray and radiology services, specialty care and minor surgical procedures,”…
