Sheriff’s office brings meals, connection to rural towns
The holiday season meant more than patrols and ensuring public safety for the Clay County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) this year – it also included setting up tables, serving meals and building connections in some of the county’s smallest towns.Through a holiday outreach effort, the sheriff’s office partnered with Liberty Hy-Vee to deliver free meals directly to rural and unincorporated communities across Clay County. The effort included four meal stops, beginning in Holt, then in Missouri City, Avondale and Mosby.
