EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Students from Excelsior Springs Middle School will share poems from 6 to 8 p.m. April 8 at the Bohemian Sage Gallery, and a published poet from Kansas City will attend, based on information from teacher Gina Calvin.

Eighth-grader Willa Schrier offered this submission...

“This poetry night is an opportunity for young writers to share their poems, and for many, this night is an opportunity to overcome fear of public speaking. Many middle schoolers struggle with confidence, but Ms. Calvin has put this night together to help them succeed and overcome their fears.

“Many great stories will be shared, and this night will be remembered by all participants. Activities like these leave everlasting impacts on young authors, and the students will love it if you attend.

“Published poet Pasquale Trozzolo, who is known for his works in ‘Before the Distance,’ will be at this poetry event. ... Come to Bohemian Sage Gallery to attend this amazing event.”
