Students, staff receive free Bombas socks

Students and staff in the Excelsior Springs School District received a free pair of Bombas socks on Sept. 22. Sarah Baker, executive director of the Excelsior Springs Educational Foundation and Dr. Mark Bullimore, director of communications for the school district, distributed the socks to all staff and students at the schools. The socks came with no cost to the district. This initiative was courtesy of the Community Services League (CSL), a nonprofit social services organization based in Independence who partnered with Bombas. Bombas is a company that sells socks and apparel that is engineered to meet the needs of the homeless. CSL partnered with Bombas in 2017 to be a regional distributor of the socks. CSL was able to receive 1.7 million pairs of socks because of Bombas’, “buy one, give one” business model this year.
