Community Center outdoor pool now open The Excelsior Springs Community Center recently hosted the grand opening of the outdoor aquatic facility. Staff of the center, along with city government, project contractors and their families came together for the celebration. Many within the community reflected on the past year of progress leading to the official public opening and thanked those involved in making the outdoor pool a reality. Jesse Hall, community center special projects liaison, thanked everyone involved with the outdoor pool, including Excelsior Springs School District, hospital, city officials, contractors and community center staff. “In 2017, we started talking about this project and decided we would put forth the effort for phase two of the project.
