Teen Night creates space for connection
Winter break can feel long for teens, especially when school routines disappear and there are few places left just to be together without expectations or pressure.Excelsior Springs Parks and Recreation and Community Center (ESPRCC) is responding by opening the community center for a teen-only evening designed to feel relaxed, welcoming and intentionally unstructured. Teen Night will take place from 7-10 p.m. on Jan. 3, providing local teens with a supervised space to spend time together during a period of the year when options are often limited.The event is open to teens ages 14 to 18 and is free to attend, though advance registration is required so staff can plan for food.
