Three candidates have qualified for the Excelsior Springs Board of Education, competing for two available seats in the April 8 election.The candidates are Anna Sue Spohn, incumbent Kalyn Goodeand incumbent and current board president Tray Harkins.Spohn, 67, is a longtime resident of Excelsior Springs. She graduated from North Kansas City High School and has completed some college and trade school coursework. Spohn has been self-employed since 1986 and brings more than 40 years of experience in sales and marketing.Goode is a small business owner in Excelsior Springs and has served two consecutive terms, totaling six years, on the Excelsior Springs Board of Education.
