CAMDEN – A train-versus-car wreck left a woman dead and a man seriously injured.
The Missouri Highway Patrol reported the incident started when Adam T. Allred, 30, Richmond, drove a 1998 Ford Escort north on Camden Street in Camden, about 9:08 p.m. Sunday, Sgt. Bill Lowe said.

A GE P42DC locomotive driven west by Kyle Ellis struck the car.
Coroner Bart Willim pronounced Allred’s passenger, Ashley M. Harder, 32, Richmond, dead at the scene.
Lowe said Allred could face a Class A misdemeanor charge. Anyone convicted of that charge faces up to a year in jail, a fine up to $2,000 or both.
Lifeflight Eagle transported Allred to Centerpoint Medical Center, Independence.
