Two arrested in counter-human trafficking operation
A counter-human trafficking operation led to the arrest of two men who attempted to engage in sexual activity with a child and provided services to over a dozen potential trafficking victims.The Clay County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), along with other law enforcement agencies and advocacy organizations, conducted the operation on Jan. 23 and 24.“Two men have been charged with felony attempted child enticement after they tried to meet whom they believed to be a 14-yearold girl for sex,” said CCSO Public Relations Manager Sarah Boyd. “It was actually undercover detectives who had been chatting with them online and through text messages.
