CLAY COUNTY – Two Clay County officeholders have resigned their offices. The collector and public administrator will be gone by Sept. 1. Public Administrator Sarah Mills resigned effective at the end of August. Under the Clay County Constitution voters approved in November, the county’s judges will advise County Administrator Tom Salisbury regarding who they would like to see appointed to replace Mills, Presiding Commissioner Jerry Nolte said Wednesday.  The commission will then approve the appointee Salisbury recommends, he said.
