Versatile illustrator’s art featured at Excelsior Springs Museum and Archives
The “Art of Robert Grace” is the focal point of an open house set for 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 17 at the Excelsior Springs Museum and Archives. Robert Grace is a professional illustrator and a 1974 graduate of Excelsior Springs High School.
This retrospective of Grace’s art covers periods throughout his varied career as a commercial artist.
The versatility of his artistic talent is showcased including his work for the internationally successful computer game “Riven: The Sequel to Myst.” Other digital work featured includes work done for computer-based training programs for Burlington Northern Railroad and the U.S. Air Force.
Working in both traditional and digital media, Grace’s work also includes creating the cover for the computer game “Duke Nukem,” which was a worldwide bestseller; story and cover illustrations for the popular American Girls Samantha book series; cover art for a paperback version of “Norby and Yobo’s Great Ad...
