Webb leaves Vegas; CB joins Panthers
Excelsior Springs High School alumnus
is no longer a Las Vegas Raider.
He’s a Carolina Panther instead.
Officially, the Panthers signed the cornerback on Sept. 14, the team’s website states. According to NFL.com, Webb signed with the pro football team as a free agent.
Webb, now in his second season of pro football, joins the Panthers after starting the NFL’s regular season on Las Vegas’ practice squad. After spending 2022, his rookie campaign, on the Raiders’ active roster and getting game reps this summer during the preseason, he was cut when the Raiders set their 53-man regular-season roster in late August. The Raiders, however, quickly signed him to their practice squad.
The Panthers are 0-3 entering Sunday’s home meeting with Minnesota.
