Four Wood Heights Fire Protection District (WHFPD) members have been promoted after years of volunteering their time for the community.Josh Brown, Ryan Mc-Culloughand Garron Grass have been promoted from captain to assistant chief and Kody Gaines from firefighter to captain.“These promotions are deserved because they all go above and beyond,” said WHFPD Chief T.J. Curry. “They’re the ones that help in the middle of the night when the calls come in. They get up out of bed and run the calls at two in the morning. This is also to help with having a little bit more structure here, to have a better chain of command. We completely restructured around three years ago, so it helps with getting the department back on track where we need to be.”WHFPD is completely volunteer based with no member receiving pay.
