An Excelsior Springs woman has entered a not-guilty plea after being taken into custody for offenses related to assault and child endangerment.Julie D. Oswald, 61, has been charged with felony third-degree assault. Additionally, she is facing two misdemeanors including fourth-degree assault and second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.Oswald was scheduled to appear this week for her initial appearance. However, after posting a bond of $15,000 before the court date, the hearing has been rescheduled to 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 28, 2025.On Dec. 17, Ray County Sheriff’s Office Deputies Brian Lackey and Samantha Ayers responded to a residence in the county in regard to threats, according to the report.
