District voters decide Prop T on Tuesday
EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The delayed vote on Proposition T – a $23.5 million plan to build one school and improve others in the Excelsior Springs School District – takes place Tuesday.
Due to the novel coronavirus, COVID-19, the state rescheduled the planned April election to June 2.
“It’s getting close,” District Deputy Superintendent Jarett Tomlinson said.
The effect the virus has had on momentum that had been building toward the April election, and the potential the virus could still have on keeping people from the polls, are not clear, he said.
“We really don’t know how many people are going to want to go out and vote. That will be a big question that won’t be settled until June 2,” Tomlinson said. “Honestly, most of the feedback that we’ve had has been very positive.”
