Edna “Roberta” (Frazier) Vogt of Camden, formerly of Napoleon, passed away peacefully Friday, Jan. 19, 2024, at her home in Camden, surrounded by family.

Roberta was born Dec. 8, 1941, in Sullivan County, the second of five children born to Robert and Lillias Frazier. As a child, the family moved to the state of Washington, then to Idaho and then back to Missouri

when she was 11.

At age 16, Roberta accepted Christ as her Savior at a Youth For Christ Rally in 1957 in Kansas City. She was baptized that same year at Maple Park Baptist Church.

She graduated in 1959 from North Kansas City High School. She married in 1960 and became mother to six children.

In 1982, Roberta began employment as a certified nurse’s aide. She impacted countless lives for 32-plus years at several local nursing homes until retiring in 2014.

At age 59, Roberta met and married the love of her life, Lawrence “Larry” Vogt. They spent almost 17 happy years together until his passing in 2017.

She was a living testimony to her faith, as she shared the good news of the Gospel to all who would hear. All who knew her had no doubt of her love for Jesus.

She enjoyed her flowers, working out in the yard, spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren grow.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Vogt; sister, Delores; brother, Ronald; sons, Robbie and Donnie; son-in-law, Martin; and granddaughter, Angela.

Survivors include her sister, Loretta and Dick Karns of Kearney; brother, John Frazier of Loveland, Colo.; and children, Margie Orozco of Camden, Mike and Kathy Suddarth of Lawson, Jean and Darrell Nelson of Orrick, and Bill Suddarth of Camden. In addition, she is survived by 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren, with two more on the way; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was scheduled for 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, at Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, 1720 South St., Lexington; phone: 660-259-2245. A funeral service was scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26, at the funeral home.

Cremation will follow with an inurnment at a later date at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Sarah Cannon Cancer Center in Independence.
