Henry Gray Redhair, 70, of Pleasant Hill was born April 22, 1953, in Osceola, the son of Teddy R. and Mary Sue Redhair. He departed this life on Thursday, Oct. 19, 2023, at his home in Pleasant Hill.

Gray was a 1971 Excelsior Springs High School graduate. He studied business at the University of Missouri at Columbia, later earning his associate’s degree in criminal justice from Maple Woods Community College.

On May 4, 1974, he was united in marriage to Karen E. Wahler in Excelsior Springs. To this union, one child, Jeremy William Redhair, was born.

Gray and Karen later divorced. He was then united in marriage to Marcia Susan Walker in Excelsior Springs on March 24, 1991. To this union, one child, April Frances Redhair, was born.

Gray and Marcia later divorced. Gray was employed as a table games and poker dealer at several casinos in California and Kansas City. He recently worked as an Uber driver, as well as a courier for BMT Consulting.

He was a member of the Hermitage Christian Church in Hermitage.

He enjoyed watching sports, especially the Royals, Chiefs, and Mizzou football and basketball. Gray was a “people person” and social. He liked working with and being around other people. He was kindhearted and always there to help when called upon.

Gray was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Sue Redhair; his sister, Linda Ann Redhair; and his stepmother, Patricia L. (Cook) Redhair.

He is survived by his father, Ted of Belton; two children and their spouses, Jeremy and Terri Redhair of Belton, and April and Josh Moore of San Diego; two grandchildren, Kierstin Redhair and Cooper Redhair; other relatives; and many friends.

Cremation has been accorded. Visitation will be held 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, at the funeral home. A celebration of Gray’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m.

Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Plum Grove Cemetery, Dunnegan.
