Lloyd Jr. “Bud” Ranes passed away Oct. 25, 2021, at the Excelsior Springs Nursing and Rehab Center.

Bud was born on April 22, 1937, in Excelsior Springs, the son of Lloyd and Helen Ranes.

Bud married Bernita Holt Ranes on July 3, 1957.                         

They moved to Grand Lake, OK where Bud became mayor of Grand Lake.

 Bud worked for General Motors for 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Marletia Coffman; and a brother, Garland Ranes.

He is survived by a brother, Randy Ranes and wife, Louise of Liberty, MO.

Visitation will be Monday, Nov. 1, 2021, from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs, MO, with funeral services following. Burial will be at Elmira Cemetery in Elmira, MO.
