On October 26, 2021, Wallace Reid Sims left this world to be with our Lord. Wally was 92 years young.  Born on May 23, 1929, in Highlandville, MO to Loral and Mildred Sims. Wally was only five when his father passed away. Mildred later met and married Howard Blevins and gave Wally two sisters.

Wally worked 31 years for Ford Motor Company in Claycomo and joined the Local 249 UAW in 1953. For many years, he was a prominent participant in local 4-H clubs, enjoying working with local youth. He was also an active member of VCU Church in Vibbard, MO. Wally graduated auctioneering school in 1979 and spent many years auctioneering and running a concession stand.

Wally married the second love of his life Sharon, in 1978. When you met him, you knew right away that he was quite the character. He loved telling stories and joking and just being with friends and family.

Wally is preceded in death by his father, Loral Sims; mother, Mildred Blevins; stepfather, Howard Blevins; first wife Glenna Lee Sims; son-in-law, Vince Thompson; and grandsons, Riley Thompson and Michael Etheridge.
