Flats at Coach Crossing receives plat approval

The Planning and Zoning Commission recently approved the final plat plan for DHTC’s development of the “Flats at Coach Crossing’’ housing addition that will soon be constructed between US 69 highway and Tracy Avenue. Shantele Frie, city planner, presented the board with the plat plan and explained the housing addition will consist of 40 two-bedroom homes intended to accommodate seniors with income ratings of 30 to 60% below the area median income. In addition to the low-income rating, market-rate units within the development will be available, as well as a community clubhouse and a dedicated green space throughout the area for future flexibility and the potential for added commercial growth. “The final plat plan for the flats involves the division of a single parcel into two distinct blocks,” she said. “One being 7.39 acres and one being 2.55 acres.” The plan indicates full access to the property through Tracy Avenue with one entrance and exit through a dedicated parking lot drive…
