For those who have smartphones, we scroll on them endlessly until perhaps our mind feels like brain rot and our eyes are sensitive from staring at a screen all day. We have all been somewhat victimized by technology’s emergence and popularity – by our own hands. Apps like Facebook, Instagram, X and especially TikTok may be to blame for their addictive algorithms but let’s face it, who is holding the phones to our faces? One thing that has become increasingly noticeable is my generation’s lack of patience and need for instant gratification. When I speak of my generation, I mean those who were born between 2000 and 2010. I was born in 2000 and in elementary school, we typed away on the computers in “Computer Applications” class. I remember how irritated I used to be when I had to sit in front of the screen and play typing games. I remember wondering how I would apply this, during that time. Now look where we are in 2024.
