So much has occurred lately, from sick children to working from home and canceling interviews. I dread these weeks as they come screeching to a halt, with so much still needing to be accomplished.
It’s not enough for women to work, be good mothers, run their households and maintain a positive balance for themselves. In my opinion, society has put too much pressure on women for them (us) to perform at a high capacity in all areas of life.
For example, I missed two days of work and argued with my spouse about who would take time off to care for the children. On top of it all, my throat started to get sore, snot came pouring out from my nose, and my house became a war zone so I could nurse myself back to health.
It’s not enough that the universe was telling me to lay still amid the chaos; deep down, I knew I wasn’t doing enough.
