Lucas Dillman repeated himself. An all-state selection in 2021, Dillman received the honor again in 2022. Like last season, the Missouri High School Baseball Coaches Association named him to the first team for Class 4. “I was very excited and honored to hear that I had been selected as a repeat first- team selection,” said Dillman, who finished his junior year this spring. “I started the season off slow but eventually got back to playing how I normally do with the encouragement of my teammates and began to succeed.” Defensively, Dillman recorded 139 putouts and committed only six errors for a .963 fielding average to help the Tigers reach the Class 4 state quarterfinals. As a position player, he spent time at first base, center field and left field. Dillman also pitched, going 2-3 with one save and a 2.79 ERA.
