GETTING THE ACCOLADES
Joe Greim is receiving recognition as he finishes his career in education.
The Excelsior Springs activities director, who’ll soon retire after a 30year career, received the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) Distinguished Service Award in February during state wrestling competition in Columbia. Accompanying him on the trip were his wife Vickie and son Corey.
Greim is in his 11th year as activities director. Before that, he was the head wrestling coach for 10 years and an assistant for nine. His career in education also included serving as a high school and middle school P.E. teacher.
In addition, Greim’s educational career has included serving as president of the Kansas City Interscholastic Administrators Association, the MSHSAA Appeals Board and the MSHSAA state wrestling championship staff.
