EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Amigos FC, an area club soccer program, has more hardware for its trophy shelves. This winter, Amigos took three teams to Winter Magic, an indoor tournament held in January at multiple venues around the metro area. The program finished with one championship and two runner-up finishers, coach Cory Wartner stated in a mid-March email. The high school-level team went undefeated in its championship run, Wartner stated. Amigos’ 13-andunder coed team placed second, as did the 12-and-under girls team. The U13 team also won its division for its indoor club season, going 7-1, he stated. “It’s been a great winter so far for the Amigos FC, and we can’t wait to see what the following months bring for the teams,” Wartner stated. ...
