Triplett, Tigers get into rhythm
MICAH DILLMAN Staff Reporter and SHAWN RONEY Sports EditorExcelsior Springs shortened the end of its fourth week of varsity baseball by a few innings.Facing Springfield-based Hillcrest in an April 12 home doubleheader, the Tigers swept the Hornets. Sparked by a combined one-hitter from pitchers Landon Marcum, Brody Querry and Kota Triplett, Excelsior Springs took the first game 13-0. Triplett and Noah Nedblake then threw a combined twohitter to help Excelsior Springs cruise 10-0.
