EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Missouri Press Association inducted the editor-inchief of The Excelsior Springs Standard and the Richmond News, Jack “Miles” Ventimiglia, into the Missouri Newspaper Hall of Fame on Sept. 24.

RICHMOND – For the third time in as many years, The Richmond News, sister paper of The Excelsior Springs Standard, won the Missouri Press Association’s Gold Cup Sweepstakes Award. The newspaper achieved 13 first-place, 11 second-place, seven third-place and six honorable mention awards.
THE 2021 Missouri Press Association Gold Cup Sweepstakes Award goes to The Richmond News for the third year in a row. The award is received Saturday at the Elms Hotel and Spa during the association’s annual three-day convention.
