ARayville man will be required to post an additional bond after a judge modified his release conditions in a Lawson stalking case.James Sherman, 47, is facing one felony charge of first-degree stalking. His bond conditions were recently modified after prosecutors filed a motion to revoke his release.Ray County Prosecuting Attorney Camille Johnston filed a motion Feb. 10 seeking revocation of Sherman’s release. Defense attorney Gregory Culotta submitted a response Feb. 19 opposing that request.Although the state’s motion was not publicly available, the defense response is part of the court record.In the response, the defense states, “On or about Jan. 5, the alleged victim in this matter spoke to the defendant and told him that she had or would reach out to the prosecuting attorney’s office about not wanting to continue with the prosecution of this and other cases against the defendant.”It ...
