Bill Fostich receives proclamation after 50 years

William (Bill) Fostich, an employee at Paccor in Excelsior Springs, was recently awarded a proclamation naming Oct. 12 as William Fostich Day, due to his hard work and dedication to the company for the past 50 years. Fostich, a longtime employee, was hired with what is now known as Paccor at age 18 on Oct. 9, 1973. Over the years, the company has changed names, beginning as IMCO and undergoing nine different ownership transfers, with Fostich sticking it out the whole way. Ryan Cole, plant manager, said Fostich had done a lot to keep the team together through all the changes and mentioned he has always been willing to do anything to help others in the workplace. “I appreciate the support he has given me and all the teachings, as I have learned a lot from him,” Cole said. “Fostich has done a lot to hold the plant together and help us be as successful as we are today.” Mayor Mark Spohn presented the proclamation while recognizing his various positions with the company. “Bill has…
