The body of a missing Kansas City man was located in rural Clay County the morning of Saturday, Oct. 7. The Kansas City Kansas Police Department (KCKPD) stated in a press release: “A property owner north of Mosby, Mo., discovered a vehicle on his property and alerted the Clay County Sheriff’s Office. When deputies arrived on scene, they discovered a body, later identified as 61-year-old Roger Hunt, a short distance from the vehicle. Hunt was reported missing earlier this week to KCKPD by family who told police he returned to his home in Kansas City, Mo. on Monday around 7 a.m. after getting off work in Kansas City, Kan., but then left again sometime before 1 p.m. He had not been heard from since. The death remains under investigation by the Clay County Sheriff’s office, but at this time, foul play does not appear to have been a factor in his death.” The Excelsior Springs Standard will continue ongoing coverage of this case.
