Tractor trailer overturns in Excelsior Springs

June 12, 2018–7:30 P.M: Northbound 69 Hwy. has reopened.

June 12, 2018—5:45 P.M. UPDATE: Excelsior Springs Police Department has reopened H Hwy. for traffic after secondary crash occurred at McCleary Rd. and H Hwy.

June 12, 2018— 5:15 P.M. UPDATE: Excelsior Springs Police Department is assisting in rerouting traffic onto H Hwy. through to Corum Rd. in Excelsior. Additionally, McCleary Rd. is also closed due to repairs at the train crossing. Be alert, and stay safe, Excelsior.

June 12, 2018—4:44 p.m. UPDATE: Clay County Sheriff’s Office has shutdown the northbound lanes of 69 Hwy. Please use an alternate route.

June 12, 2018—First responders reported to a scene at 69 Highway and Cameron Road near Mosby, around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, after a tractor trailer hauling dry concrete mix overturned.

Ongoing road work shut down the northbound lanes of 69 Highway, leading up to the crash site. Authorities continue to direct traffic until removal of the wrecked tanker from the side of roadway.

Clay County Sheriff’s Department, Excelsior Springs Fire Department, Excelsior Springs Police Department and Fishing River Fire Protection District assisted in the crash.

No injuries were reported.
