EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The chamber recognized public service differently this year because of the pandemic, chamber Director Elaina Lamley stated. “While COVID may have taken our December luncheon away, we couldn’t allow it to take away presenting the awards to our winners,” Lamley stated. This year’s Business Award winners are: • Business of the Year, Excelsior Springs Hospital; • Chamber Member of the Year, Janet Blauvelt, Blauvelt Law Firm; • Volunteer of the Year, Melinda Mehaffy, city of Excelsior Springs; and • Special for this year, the COVID Community Champion of the Year, Morgansites. “Thank you all for stepping up and continuing to be a blessing to many,” Lamley stated. “Congratulations.”
