ORRICK – Orrick Christian Church dropped by the Veterans Community Project Outreach Center in Kansas City to deliver more than 700 items and more than $1,700 in donations as a tribute to veterans in honor of Veterans Day 2020. Development Director Michele Orpin accepted the gifts Monday from Pastor Art Endlsey and church board Chairman Tim O’Dell of Orrick, and from Mike and Barbara Britt of Excelsior Springs. “As a church, we deeply appreciate the freedom of religion and freedom of speech that we are blessed with in this country. We owe a huge debt of gratitude to veterans that have ensured these privileges,” Endsley stated. For three weeks, the church conducted a food and hygiene item drive, along with the collection of money and gift cards, as a tribute to veterans.
