Candidates on the Nov. 8 ballot were invited to attend a Candidates Meet and Greet for citizens to get to know them better. The event was hosted on Oct. 22 at Other Trails. The 38th District state Rep. Doug Richey, who is running unopposed; and Presiding Commissioner Jerry Nolte, who is also on the Nov. 8 ballot, were among those who attended. Citizens of Excelsior Springs were encouraged to meet those who will be on the ballot and discuss issues that concerned them, as well as get to know them better.
