EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Excelsior Springs Golf Course fees might rise in 2021. General Manger Kyle Hurst has proposed the City Council raise fees, starting New Year’s Day to “help us continue to maintain the high-quality course conditions.” “We’ve done some research to comparable courses in the area (to) see where we are and where we’d like to be … to keep the course at … as high a level and even improved throughout the year,” Hurst said at the Dec. 7 council meeting. “So we … (think) these rates will help us get to that point.” The council voted to table the ordinance to Dec. 21. If approved, the 2021 schedule would increase membership fees and requirements, in some cases. For example, family memberships would be $75 a month or $800 a year for two adults and their dependents 18 or younger.
