EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – A void left by Dr. Sidney A. Cantrell’s retirement might soon be filled. On Sept. 21, the City Council approved an On Sept. 21, the City Council approved an intergovernmental agreement between the Excelsior Springs and Ray County hospitals to let Excelsior Springs Hospital operate a clinic in the osteopath’s vacated office at 411 Pennsylvania in Lawson. In other health care-related news, the council approved decreasing the hospital’s Board of Trustees from nine to seven members. “The reduction in numbers just makes it easier for the board to achieve a quorum,” hospital information stated.
