Clay County Public Health Board candidates vie for four-year term

With the April 4 election quickly approaching, Clay County Public Health Board candidates answered questions about issues and philosophies affecting Clay County Public Health. Voters will be faced with choosing two of the three candidates — John Barth, Kathy Ellermeier and Lancer Gates — to fill the open four-year terms. BACKGROUND INFORMATION The Standard asked each candidate to give their age, address, marital status, number of children, highest grade completed, employer and relevant political experience. Barth – A resident of Holt, the 73-year-old completed medical school and was employed by Cameron Regional Medical Center. There was no previous elected or political offices listed. Ellermeier – With a master’s degree in nursing, the 58-yearold is employed by Liberty Public Schools.
