Council makes appointments to various posts

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The City Council helped fill board and committee spots when meeting Sept. 7 at the Hall of Waters. Council members started by approving Keith Hudson’s three-year appointment to the Community Improvement District board. Hudson succeeds newspaper publisher Brian Rice. Jeannine Stubbs and Mike Anderson replace Bob Craven and Bill Thomas, respectively, on the Excelsior Springs Hospital Board of Trustees. Brad Eales’ participation in city government continued with approval of his appointment to the Public Safety Sales Tax Oversight Committee. Eales, a former mayor and council member, succeeds state Rep. Doug Richey. Approved for the same committee, John McGovern replaces Dr. Nick Houk.
