Council thanks Mehaffy for ‘valuable contributions’
Economic Development Director Melinda Mehaffy’s presentation of the 2023 Annual Report for Community Development was heard by the Excelsior Springs City Council during a recent meeting.
Missouri requires an annual report for planning and zoning to be submitted; however, Mehaffy sought to go above and beyond, providing the council with an intricate and comprehensive report on her department’s achievements and ongoing endeavors.
The presentation began with an introduction to the department’s staff, including new hires and an open position. Mehaffy acknowledged Building Inspector Michael Thompson, Administrative Assistant Lisa Morgan, Neighborhood Specialist Laura Mize and Permit Technician Stephanie May.
