LIBERTY – The Clay County Commissioners visited the Cerner Corp. campus in North Kansas City to support the Operation Safe Vaccination site. The operation involved “a massive community coalition that was created to safely and efficiently deliver COVID-19 vaccinations to Clay County citizens,” county information stated. Initially launched by Liberty Hospital, in collaboration with Cerner and the Clay County Public Health Center, Operation Safe has added resources from cities and health entities in the Northland. “Our priority is to keep people safe, get folks back to work and make sure our children get the education they deserve,” Eastern Commissioner Megan Thompson said. “That is why we are working hard to make sure everyone has access to the vaccine.” “The commission is happy to support the Operation Safe coalition as they continue their work at this vital vaccination center, which is being held up as a model in the state of Missouri,” Presiding Commissioner Jerry Nolte said. …
