An Excelsior Springs man will return to court next month on an alleged probation violation after a judge tightened his release to house arrest with GPS monitoring and set a $5,000 bond.Anthony Louis Guzman was arrested on a Ray County probationviolation warrant on Aug. 29 at 10:47 a.m. He pled guilty to drug-related charges in 2019.On Sept. 2, Guzman appeared by video, in custody and without an attorney. After reviewing the case, the Eighth Judicial Circuit Court Judge Kevin L. Walden found nonmonetary conditions alone would not ensure his appearance or community safety and imposed additional terms. The order placed Guzman on house arrest with GPS tracking and allowed limited exceptions for court, meetings with counsel, probation appointments, work, medical visits and approved education or treatment.
